Symposium on the First Restatement on the Law of Charitable Organizations

In October 2022, the UCLA Law Program on Philanthropy and Nonprofits marked a historic event, the completion of the First Restatement on the Law of Charitable Organizations. The First Restatement on the Law of Charitable Organizations represents over a decade of work by a team of nonprofit law experts under the leadership of Professor Jill Horwitz, the Program’s Faculty Director. More than 40 experts on the law of charitable nonprofit organizations came together for the “Symposium on the Restatement of the Law, Charitable Nonprofit Organizations” to discuss the issues addressed in the Restatement.  For more on this event, see UCLA News, “‘Heroic’ journey: How Jill Horwitz brought the ‘Restatement of Charitable Nonprofits’ to life.”
