On October 30, 2023, the Lowell Milken Center on Philanthropy and Nonprofits (formerly, the Program on Philanthropy and Nonprofits and a part of the Lowell Milken Institute on Business Law & Policy) participated in celebrating LMI’s 10-year anniversary by presenting a discussion of “The Business of Giving: Considerations for Donors and Charities When Giving and Accepting Business Interests”. The speaker was David Shevlin, Head of Nonprofit Law Practice at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett. The talk was planned and moderated by LMPN Executive Director Rose Chan Loui.
